A FREESTYLE APPROACH. When conceptualizing design and assembly, I often prefer to hold materials in my hand rather than pencil them on paper. I find this method allows me a more acute sense of weight, thickness and feel -- significant facets that are often overlooked on page, but integral to fluid aesthetic and balanced symmetry. I like to swap and shuffle materials in real space, allowing me to visualize layout and make alterations based off actual scale. I don't necessarily rely on a given formula, but rather my own innate sense of proportion, color and touch to achieve builds that are truly distinct.
